Many detours and roadblocks in between
Even a few accidents
Today I finally arrived
The journey’s not over
But I’ve made it to the first stop
I take a breath
The air’s much sweeter here, refreshing even
I relax a moment
Then gas and go
I have many miles to cover
On this highway of life
Til I reach my destination
Map in hand this time
No detours, no roadblocks slowing me down
I’m on cruise control now
