Loss of time
I cannot reclaim
Wasted away
With nothing to gain.

Anger resided
Where love should have been
Bitterness took root
The beginning of sin.

Pain and hurt
Were my nightly delight
No way out
No sign of sunlight.

Deeper I sank
Full of guilt and shame
With my last ounce of breath
I whisper your name.

You're not here
You are not around
No one can hear me
Not one little sound.
