Dat Booty

Lock skyward the switch, and tear jagged the shades
But I fear no light will break the cataracts of my mind's eye
Thrashes weaken; leagues in despair, passion a blaze
That like any other, taken aft a raft to the brine, dies
Somewhere I lost the dappled beacon of surface,
Colors swim together; sound mercurial, deep
Maybe I need an addled deacon to worship
Lest no other mend the tether out from furial sleep
But then she opens the door and I see her face
And there's a rushing like the draining of water in deeper grates
And then she turns to show dat booty and the earth snaps into place
Razor focus returns, as my eyes gasp in embrace;
See a golden shaft of light spill over the curvature
Encircling with a nimbus's burn, Lycra too thick
Not even a life lived perfect and sober deserves such sure
Bliss, at the fact this is what sentences earn, like a toothpick
I break
