Lost Without You

A small and fleeting hope
I had you for so little space in time
Now I lay my head down and cry.

You had me believing, mistakenly so
That someone would want me
Until I watched you go.

Now pain is what you've left behind
Was it all a lie?
I try to believe not, but all my hope has died.
