Time’s intangible flow slips past in subjective waves
as Human dreams blossom for Human's sake
only to fade and die in the dim afterglow
of life’s elusive wake.

Perception’s ever-changing point of view
gives the gift of startling brilliance
then snatches it away in jealous rage
to test our heart’s resilience.

Consciousness struggles against the tide of fate
bursting forth alive into violent being
and graces the darkness of the world
with delicate sense of feeling.

Hope and fear struggles in eternal fruitless battle
for the right to life’s short spark
and hate slashes across it all
to leave its deadly mark.

Despair clings to the pulsing heart of the world
and withers living souls to grainy dust
drinking the pain of dying spirits
with gleeful cries of lust.

But in the chaos of grasping death brightness exists
and all things evil shrink from its light
for in its core lives an awesome truth
that shines triumphant in the night.

It tears away the walls of our self imposed prisons
and allows us the most wondrous sight
redeeming us from our darkest Hells
is Love in all its stunning might.

Kind of transcendant. Worthy.

And I love the line:

"It tears away the walls of our self imposed prisons"

as you reveal the power of love...
