If love knows no bounds
Then why am I left in tears, in the dark
As these two, so in love
Fight around me?
If love conquers all
Why do I feel terrified, alone
Abused, damaged and torn
While the fight goes on?
If love warms the soul
Why am I so cold, afraid
To ever let anyone in
To become as they are?
If love brings two together
Why are they torn apart?
Bringing untold misery on those
That surround them daily.
If love is true happiness
Why does it only cause tears?
As these ‘in love’ make battles
Slowly killing each other.
If love is as they say it is
Why does it merely destroy
Ripping apart home and lifestyles
Why is love killing me?
