Love comes along but once in a lifetime
They say that love; elusive, effervescent, and ebullient
Shows itself in every mans’ life once.
I’ve known men who‘ve had dozens, hundreds of lovers
Yet never have known this ambiguous, volatile, and exuberant joy.
I’ve known it, but squandered it on foolish temptation.
What I want to know now is, “are the fish biting? What bait are you
Using? From what part of the dam do you fish?"
Sad, isn’t it?
