Her voice like a melody
As she crawled over me
Spread upon the cotton sheets
She had washed
Then hung out on the line
So they smelt like violets
And earth
And wind
And the sea
But not like me
When I dreamt of her
She smelled of vinegar
I never understood that
For in life she smelt of bananas
Vanilla
And something exotic she purchased
At a stall in Jamaica
I held her hand
Often
When we walked out on the sand
That time
Jamaica was so warm
The falls magical
The water drops clung to her face
Like freckles
I don’t remember now
If I loved her more then
But I know that today
As the sun creeps over our windowsill
And she blinks as she rubs
The sleep from her eyes
I love her more
Always more
beautiful. I love the description the water droplets clinging to her face like freckles. that is a wonderful line.

A very sweet write
Of love that's eternal;
Always renewing
With each day's awakening.

and am especially taken in by the first stanza. though, i'm wondering if you may want to possibly consider using a tactic of making the first letter of each line in lower case. it's been said, that if there isn't a period at the end it can confuse. so, i've been using lowercase predominantly. something to think about and sometimes it is merely a matter of preference.....nicely done......don
I love this. Very good painting of love. Imagery is crystal clear and the emotion seeping through outshines the sun.
*grins* I love it !!
