Love Let Me Die In Vain..

Oh light help me... allow me to grasp onto your sanity,
permit me to live in your reasoning, if only for a little while.

There are no solid realities for me to cling to. Please, give me but a lifetime of your moment,
let me shelter in your shadow... but please let not the sun deny me.

Hold me in your eyes yet long enough to see a glittering through the night cast brightness.
Oh please, just a flicker of your joy, the sorrow of your hand, the taste of your own attempts and I will be gratified long enough to find sure footing along this blinding path.

Touch me with your knowledge while you shield me with the unknown.
Just let me feel again, something more than failure.

Help me to the edge so I may opt to fly off or climb out of... allow me this.
Lead me no more to desires unattainable nor dreams never captured... trust me not to anguish... instead, show me how to believe again, teach me once more how to shine from within your eyes... give me back your heart.

Let me feel your hope so I may find the light to wish with courage.
Love me not to die in vain... let me stand to walk with you.
Share your world with my aching loneliness, shut me not out,
enter me with but your command.

Turn your back away from me... or continue on your path alone.
Take me back to times remembered in my dreams of you,
love me like you did before you owned my soul.

The need is mine, but the choice remains, as always... with you.
A wilted flower needs tending... so does a forgotten heart....
