To the bees and the birds in your eyes and your hair
red auburn tryst in the heavens we share in the
green in the mist of foraged nature, Gaia retreating through
forests older than, humanity on the brink of killing god
in the tomes of the Montagues and Capulets where lovers
rot and tempests rise from grief and tragedy in the aura of
peace and love to burn the insincerity from the world
to purge the animosity clean in white fire, and to brand
the traitors of trust with the fate of Brutus and Judas.
Fire lined trembling in the wake of cascading water
a flash flood of divinity consumed by the empty clattering of
elephants and trombones falling to the sea in a painful
cacophony.
