Imparts from love
Loss what's held
Oblivious of what he had
Unaware that he'd lost this
She gave in to confusion
Begging to be released
Searching for hidden treasures
Speaking in tongues
Listening to silence
He criticizes her charity
Offering only hostility
And demands forgiveness
Of her, his devoted
Convinced he's a god
An honor to touch
So his priestess anoints
His soul with her tears
A mindless devotion
And wordless fears
Body spangled in shadow
Heart tangled with doubt
She pleads to be seen
To be loved in return
