Love-this-love-that
What does it mean?
Love-this-love-that
What should I say?
Love-this-love-that
When should I come?
Love-this-love-that
When walk away?

I lay awake for hours last night
My thoughts were all of you
And the pain and pleasure, joy and hurt
That love can put you through
And the sickly kind of feeling
That gets you deep inside
When you know that love is what you feel
And what you have to hide

How many times have we discussed
The love you say you feel?
So many times I’ve heard you say
“My love for him is real
I love you both in different ways
I’ll always love him, see
I love you too but you should know
That I love easily”

I wish that I could tell you
Just how great I think you are
How I value our strange ‘thing’ship
And I’d never want to mar
The trust we have between us
And the intimacy we’ve shared
With our minds as much as bodies
All the little things we’ve dared

All I really want to say to you
Is that I hold you dear
And it’s losing you, in any way
That deep down I most fear
“Would I love and marry you?”
You’ve asked a lot, I guess
So here’s my honest answer...
...It is “yes, and yes, and yes!”
