~~~~~~~~~~
hush-a-bye sadness
of fractured fairytales
cradled with songs
of heart string magic.
truth sings of promise
in the soft gentle tone
of rising affections
crescendoing with unyielding devotion.
enchantment whispers
in the quiet of dreams
waiting for sleep
to overtake fear.
close your eyes, darling
surrender to visions
when you wake with the sunshine
you’ll find me here waiting
morning song chanting
love’s lullaby still.
This poem
is soft and melodic like the lullaby it portrays. Very good.
