As Loving You Barbie sits,
naked,
on the closet floor of the kids' room, she meditates upon
her life,
her situation,
her destiny
and wonders what could be.

Secretly, she only plays along
when she goes on dates
with Ken
or that new Edward vampire doll.
Her kisses are superficial,
the gleam in her eyes
just paint.

Deep down in her
hollow,
plastic head,
she longs to be with Francie,
to hold her unmoving delicate hand
and talk about the days when they would go camping and
sleep together in the RV.
There's really no need for Ken,
they'd giggle
in their shared sleeping bag,
because he doesn't have
any
parts
anyway.

They'd lay there with their
large
smooth
breasts
touching,
and their
stiff legs intertwined
as much as they could manage.

But when Francie was
forced
into that wedding dress
and made to live in that Malibu condo
with Star Trek Ken,
her life became empty.
Now she can only take
pleasure
in feeling the
trademark on her ass
and fantasying that
someday Francie will
take the convertible
and drive back to her

and then she could once again,
come out of the
closet.

This is wonderfully bittersweet!
