OK, I guess I should start here by writing something down
About a man (that's me) who lives here in Portland town.
I should try to give you, reader, some notion as to why
Someone might have any interest to meet up with this guy?

So I play music for a living, and I'm quite often away.
But when I'm here in Portland, I'm usually home all day.
With my partner off at work, I spend a lot of time alone.
Without human interaction I end up looking at my phone.

One morning I woke up and found I'd made a mental note
That maybe someone else out there is in the very same boat!
So what the heck, I thought, I'll make a post, and see what happens next.
If you feel moved to do so, you can respond here with some text.

Perhaps I should tell you a little more about me:
I write songs, take walks, smoke pot and drink too much coffee.
I'm on the fringes of the left, in terms of worldview,
Though I'm definitely capable of talking about other things, too.

My daydream involves meeting other folks who might
Have free time during weekdays to hang out and see the sights.
Not for sex in particular -- but I may as well mention that my style
Has a lot to do with polyamory, and erotic sexual denial.

Not that these things are related -- but you probably know that
Everybody here wears at least a couple different hats,
And those are two of mine. I've even written about them quite a bit
Essays and erotica, which you can find here where you sit,

Assuming you're online, which would appear to be the case,
If you're reading this posting on a screen in front of your face.
So if you feel like sending me a message, now or some other time,
I look forward to reading it (it doesn't have to rhyme).
