Hey. Me again. The girl in brown
flowers who looks like a minister's wife.
I was green, shit, I'm still green.
Remember that song, make up your mind,
decide to walk with me? I feel like that
happened. I got sealed in glass. Young
forever. Stunted. Dead. I'm no good at
analysis. I tried hard to laugh at your
comments about Coal Miner's Daughters.
I guess you didn't know I was trying to
hide the lack of funds and the brown all
over ugly. I used to wear orange lipstick
then. My skin was bad on occasion. Naked
was just normal. I liked him when he was
your boyfriend. The pictures of you now are
what I saw then. If that makes sense. It
likely doesn't but I don't even know why
I felt like writing to you today. I remember
sharing garlic butter cheese biscuits
and maybe sneers. Miss Mae's and drinking
until the hurt felt better. Was it Maggie May
all the way to Metairie? Not many people can
scare me enough to jump. Props to you woman,
if only you could see what I've seen. You should
have scared me more. Maybe you'd forgive these lips. If you even cared. You've grown into the woman I saw. I knew you would. Do you know
the road I've traveled? Were we ever friends?

P.S. The underwear in the tree was some twisted game. Dares and lookers. He said like Jenny but he lies so much, who knows? But you prolly knew that. Those boys are scary...I'm not nearly as easy as you might think. I remember even Charlie telling you to watch me. In the Louisiana way that I know meant for me.
