The wind softly blows,
caressing those it can touch
with a simple whisper
that says I love you.
Though you cannot hear it
being a mortal,
being like that of a tree
yet uprooted
and fragile,
grown in a greenhouse for
safekeeping.
The wind still speaks,
begs you to come outside
to show you that
from those who try to hide
the beauty that comes from
the natural sun.
The wind just wants you
to know happiness,
happiness in the bark of
an old wise oak tree.
She only wants what's best.
Heed her calls will you?
Or stay trapped inside forever...
She whispers love again,
smoothe across your cheek,
slight of hand and an open door...
Chose to walk or stay
frozen forevermore.
Uproot yourself
she will forever adore
your green leaves
in the summer,
your brown ones in the fall
and warm you in the winter
and keep you standing tall.
Just heed her words of love
and love her as well.
Dance in the sunlight,
frolic in her love,
sing to the moon
and hold her through the night...
Though you cannot hear her,
the words you know
ring straight and true..
The wind loves you
though she cannot explain,
cannot show you how much...
She will do it all for you...
Even still the day,
disappear,
never taunt you in your home,
a greenhouse made for safety...
She will love you still...
