Store front windows happen,
happy thoughts displayed
Plastic lips and shining teeth
just as they were layed.

Faces posed for viewing
no time for redesigning
Mannequins will self destruct
you cannot see their crying.

Perfect bodies getting dressed
someone to place their clothes
accessories add to nothing,
no way to show their woes.

No heart to beat within their chest
emptiness remains
standing still while the world goes by
souls of old complain.
