Spooned around my body, love, as you breathe,
I feel your heart beating softer, slower
against my back as sweet-scented moisture
begins drying our heated bodies. We
glow and cool as the friction-induced beads
evaporate, and the sunlight showers
through drapes dapples – alabaster lover,
muscles hard, body long and lean, brawny
yet lithe
– our aftermath. As utterly
I hold you in my heart, love divine, sure
and intense, I could never live chastely
unfeeling to shield my psyche or yours.
Some are at peace ardorless, and purely
seek a child’s chaste life – unlike me, of course.
