I love you I do
My heart weeps
Just for you

You’re a bird
A hawk an eagle soaring
Hunting always
Above the trees

Clear into the sky
Where you are safe
No one can get you there
At your lofty height

You circle so high
Your shadow casts
Me into the pale

The sun it glints
on your matted chest
I see your darkness
In vibrant light

Fly away my hawk
Be free my eagle

I’ve hidden well
I’m not your prey
No not today
