I watch you lying, asleep
gently breathing,
sweetly snoring,
quietly murmuring
in your sleep
your hair falls sweetly,
while your pillows are a- cuddling
your breasts are enticing
your legs are a-snuggling
as you sleep,
stirring my emotions
my heart is a-beating
my mind is a-racing
my body is a-throbbing
loving you in your sleep.
And as I watch you lying, asleep
I see your imperfections, your flaws
your beauty, all yours you are perfect, I pause while you sleep;
and as you continue to sleep
I consider how you’re perfection
for me, that’s my deduction
(and the cause of my erection)
as you sleep
Stirring, but still asleep I deduce that no other
could cause me to love her
like Isabelle’s mother
my beautiful wife, asleep
still asleep
you are the glove to my the hand
the leaves to my tree, and
the reason I stand
watching you sleep.
And so I consider as you sleep
that we are sometimes lovers,
oftentimes laughers
always friends, and always in love
as together now we drift
drift away into sleep
from the tip of my glans
to the tip of my toes
from the bottom of my heart
and the bottom of my soul
from the top of my morning
to the ending of my days
I love you
from the soles of your feet
to the top of your thighs
from the swell of your breasts
to the light in your eyes
from the sound of your voice
to the sight of your smile
I love you, even while we sleep.
