not like this gentle's never melted
spring thaw comes often to these hills
somewhere beneath
cold hard remains
you can try push wish will
every spring come the robins
one nest never freed
first occupant took soft lining
stirrings like a tornado whirl
with every birdsong
signals of summer heat fire the ice into solid
walls blocking hot rain
