I have a debt to pay
No retort today
Cause death was a gunning
But I'm not running
Walked out wearing no vest
I took one to the chest
Now I'm free falling
I here death a calling
And I called back
A single sound, as I heard his gun rack
But I'm not afraid
My bed I have made
Not much to say
Before I finally lay

Now, I haven't lived a perfect life
Never had the chance to take a wife
So I leave here alone
I'm lonely to the bone
And I've done my best
Not to be a pest
Just to live each day
Only positives to say
But it's time to leave
All your destiny's I did weave
Tried to make your futures brighter
But all I had was a lighter
So I held my thumb down
A hiss was the only sound
Till all my butane was gone
Cause in your life, I was merely a pawn
I only see in front, and to the right
But I can still fight
A chance to stay alive
To grow and thrive
If I can make it to the other side
I can change the tide
Consumed by the horde
I was taken off the board
But that's okay
I made you smile each day
And there ain't no queen for a piece like me

Looking in the mirror I'm the only one I see
With my lonely existence
My hands I did rinse
I was striving out for more
Just a chance to see you sore
And you soared so high
Now it's my time to say bye
No more need for me
Cause your already the best you can be
So I feel the life pumping out of, my chest
And slowly, I turn my head to the west
I see the sun setting
The ground around me wetting
Your smile, reminds me why I'm not regretting
