My mind races,
images of distant places.
Uniformed faces,
fathers, sons and daughters of Freedoms glory.
Chasing mad men in a far off land.
Seems to be the same old story.
Armour and aircraft flying across desert sand.
Mothers and fathers crying as their sons are dying.
Memories of distant times,
love and peace thriving.
Back before world events,
caused us pain and torment.
Praying hands and tear filled eyes.
As God hears our cries.
Hoping for a swift end,
to a world filled with demented men.
Eyes watch on TV,
events which will make history.
Ever mindful of faces,
searching for traces of family.
Emotions mixed,
destination fixed.
Freedom of a people depend,
on the sons and daughters of other men.
Please as you go through your day,
remember our forces so far away.
Ask God if you will,
to protect them all,
if it be his will.

Authors note:

Please take time to remember our service personal as they fight for freedom.
Remember the lives lost to terrorist on 9ll.
May freedom ring through out the world.
I write this under a pen name as I have done all my works.
