Wide awake
On this chilled winter morn
My lover has left
My heart forlorn.

From my bedside
His smiling eyes
Look back at me
Swirling images
start to come back
Of the lust, love, and
Oh so many laughs.
I smile thru temporary sadness.

Away in body
This gentle loving
man remains in so close
The essence of his heart
his soul and love are here
Until his travels are done
I wait
Cherishing everything
And all
He has given!
