Since you came into my life
and opened your world to me
I've seen the crashing of the ocean waves
as they work their magic over the rugged rocks
Water, first strong and powerful
engulfing the rocks,
then gently cascading into ripples
as if caressing them
And I am mesmerized by the beauty
As we stand, hand in hand
gazing from the shore
I understand how your love has overtaken me
just as the fierce water surrounds the rocks
Your love, first intense and exhilarating
gushing into my heart
then, blanketing me with
a calm serenity
