I'd love to melt her ring with mine
In some bright fire. Metals mix,
And fuse, alloy, and intertwine,
So as to meld her ring with mine.
But heat won't weld without due time
(Though proper heat, at last, will fix
Her love, and smelt one ring to mine).
In certain fires, right metals mix.

Nicely done

I hear metaphors related to purifying by flame or heat, but not so much of metals mixing.. well done.
