Author's note: I wrote this rock ballad for my latest fave character, Luka Dragovic, Lead singer / guitarist of the Dragon's Sons, an ethno-rock band, in my upcoming story, Midlife Magic.
Hope you enjoy! :)

*******

Midlife magic found me yesterday
despite my years avoiding the enchanted
Midlife magic reached me yesterday
and took away the truths I held for granted

Midlife magic gave me yesterday
a reason to believe in lucky charms
Midlife magic showed me yesterday
the home I could've found between your arms

And when you're gone I'll miss you more than ever
and play to calm my existential fears
Just promise me that it won't be forever
I'll see you in another fifteen years

Midlife magic filled me yesterday
and then it popped, a puff of sparkly glitter
Midlife magic forced me yesterday
to recognize the things that really matter

And when you're gone I'll miss you more than ever
and play to calm my existential fears
Just promise me that it won't be forever
I'll see you in another fifteen years

Midlife magic found me yesterday
between your creamy thighs and wicked kisses
Midlife magic punched me in the face
and broke my heart to tiny little pieces
