The cutest
of three kittens
absconds with a thumb
stolen from the human salad
outside a burning mosque, while
above the clouds and smoke
a circling insensate drone silently
watches over her.

Kobaabout 13 years agoVery good! I read this over many times, getting a slightly different feel each time. I see it as relating to the Middle East right now, but maybe not? If it does, why midsummer? I like the imagery. As poetry, it is a beautiful piece!
