Today I realized...

In my life I've lived through over 18,000 sunsets,
Some from places you'll never see I hope...
...but since I've known you,
each one has brought the joy of your existence in my world.

I have survived an equal number of sunrises,
Though sometimes only by God's intervention...
...yet the few of those that lit your face before me will haunt me forever.

I see your smile in the early rays of daybreak
As warm and promising as the dawn...
...I feel the softness of your eyes
in the flickering blues of twilight.

The sparkle in your look
Has become the Milky Way of my night skies...
...and I bask in the moonlight
that brings your thoughts to me.

It no longer matters where I am
For you are with me...
...a most comforting presence
which eases the aching loneliness of my heart.

Fueling my dreams with passion and desire
To quench the ache we both feel...
...and the need for such small touches
which might make our lives complete together.

Today I realized...

How deeply I love you.
