The cool amber current of the quick brook
pressed like wet silk the trout's flanks
filling him with desire.
He creamed the water white with milt
that drifted down and over waiting roe.

That afternoon the breeze
tugged open the white edges of her blouse.
I sensed her need was close so I undid her.
She guided me near as slowly
as a leaf falling through a cloudless sky.
I entered her, gently,
like a blade of grass bent by dew.

The tart glint of milt mingled with rivulets carrying roe.

While fruit ripens on the trees, and sunlight
goes from gold to silver,
women in black burkas
stroll through marketplaces
dreaming in colors.

:)

never read a poem about roe before.

I sort of agree with Champagne about the middle verse, but I do see why you have it in there, it is secondary to the row/milt part of the poem. To me, the sex in the middle part is showing that life goes on and humans are incidental to the "bigger" picture

I was touched by this poem, made me feel small, but in a very good way.

keep up the good work

Excellent

Your start is so picturesque and the finish is a, little, cliche. Drop the graphic sex in the middle and let us infer it through the fertilization of the eggs and you'd have a very good poem. This poem is mentioned on the New Poems Review thread in the Poetry Feedback and Discussion forum on Literotica's Bulletin Boards. Thanks for showing us your poetry, Carrie.
