jump into the furnace
known as oneself
and be forged
by thy own thoughts
a molten blob of emotions
pounded by time
hammered by experiences
dipped into a pool of tears
steaming with pride
placed on the anvil of hope
and struck by reality
driven by desires
hit with responsibilities
then placed back into the fire
and simmer

then hone thy mind
sharpen thy wits
run your grey across the stone
grip realization
shape your handle on life
wrap your feelings tightly
creating a weapon
woven of tongue and wisdom
words released upon a razors edge
cutting to the bone, so that
ink will bleed only literary truth
once you have and can
mind, the sword
