Ladies courted in emerald flames
Made violet footprints in marble frames.
Shadows washed such gleaming faith
Purchased such from lies of grace
To save the Prince of vile face
From fated, dreadful virginal wraith

Omen burned, and gold unturned
Bought such tainted pleasures spurned
Hides revolting the scornful touch
Of charmless creature, with crippled crutch
The spindly hair of broken kings
Made carpets sail with horrored beings…

Still sitting, in death, old pale as bone
The Prince, still chaste, lost all but the throne…
His lies, made candor and quicker snacks
For friendless parties, and loveless acts
No longer seeking, the passion slacks
That so consumed his soulful pacts…
Miscarriaged offers, wealth for wealth
Longing Sweet Silence, Health for Health
Lost lot has he in life’s sweet drink
Miscarriaged heart, a shame to think…
