Ever since I have been born,
I felt sad and forlorn.
Like I wasn't whole.
Like I was missing part of my soul.

Even as a small child, I was serious,
Quiet and shy, but ever so curious.
Still I did feel something was wrong,
Like half of myself was gone.

In my teenage years, armor was shooting wild,
But not even once did he hit this child.
Loneliness, it seemed to consume me.
Could anybody out there set me free?

As a grown woman, I found out,
My soul mate I was missing without a doubt.
So now, standing here I'm crying out loud
"My soul mate where can you be found?".

Great poem! I could relate to it and I have felt the Same,I just wished it was more about the meaning and more conceptual. (:
