Closing my eyes, I remember
feeling incredible sweetness.
Your love igniting the embers
kindled inside me long ago.

Such joy in loving so deeply!

Delightful sound of your laughter
entwining through my memories.
Still searching hard for an answer.
The ending is hard to endure.

Was it all an ugly charade?

Gripped by awful confusion,
the pain and emptiness I feel,
stunned by the truth I now know,
my anguish is all that is real.

My eyes have been opened by truth.

Betrayal of love ...

is the ultimate betrayal!

Happy is the promise, sad is the reality.
