Beautiful cherry wood
stands firm,
proud as the day I paid
for this bed myself and
brought it home
from the showroom floor.

Partially nervous, I
wonder,
fortunate more than words
to find this partner
holding me,
first to stay the night.

Framed as we move forward,
passion
swells into something more
accepting all options
together
we kiss and hold on.

Completely entranced as
moonlight
lays in the sheets with us,
soaking up this moment
years waiting
to have shared this space.

A nice piece, I especially like the image you create with,

"moonlight

lays in the sheets with us,"
