Spotted him from a mile.
Put the phone down.
Turned the car around,
looked deep and long into
the open visor. He sped away.
In his rearview, a tiny nose.
A tuft of hair peeking
from the helmet. My heart sank.
The universe and her momentary
thrills and aching reminders.
