There is no heat like your heat
when your eyes travel my face,
fingers of sunlight brushing the skin
until I'm nudged awake to see
the motes of dust caught by dawn
and the sweet sea fog that makes
the blue of your gaze.

One morning, I'll catch you sleeping,
and you'll awaken to primeval forest,
notes of green and gold against
the dewy brown of autumn moss.

Thank you!

You aren't a dunce, the title is vague. When you're not a morning person, but are married to someone who is, it isn't easy to catch them so that they wake up to your smiling eyes.

Quite good. Interesting to me, at least.

I really liked the line "when your eyes travel my face" for the verb, particularly. The title confuses me, but I'm a dunce.
