Moonlight and Love
A shimmer, a scream
Struggle, not thought of
A hope, then a dream

his heart, in her hands
his soul, open wide
Love, since returned
Gift given, not cast aside

Hers and Her will
Upon him, there it lay
Her wishes and Her wants
he will see to this day

The chains that surround him
Solid and smoke
To comfort and bind
Not constrict or to choke

A crack, then a hiss
From behind his clenched jaw
Passion around them
More real and more raw

A smile from both
To serve and be served
The platter of silver
The kiss on the curve

A hand, run along
The ridges and plains
Love in the touch
Delivering the pain

The wounds have no meaning
The reason is all
As he is released
She catches his fall

The caresses, now fevered
The building of flames
Burn bright and then die
The scars still remain

A badge, so admired
Shown, proudly and oft
Her love, not so tender
Her touch, not so soft

A peak reached and passed
A cry shared between souls
A gift that’s now given
She rises and goes

he watches and cries
Ordeal, at an end
Dreaming of later
When another begins
