Moonshine Daydream

Every night I’ll write for you a poem
‘tis how my hands go
and I’ll rest knowing it was writ for you
regardless the stanza’s flow
for, every earth loved by a traveling moon
has the right to know
Her gravity had set him free
by holding him so
Gravity is not like love
it cannot be understood
that love is love’s own gravity
is the reason it is so good
So love is like a pie
that tastes exactly as it should
the slice that’s all you have
is all you ever would

A belated Welcome to Lit;

especially like the line,

"love is love’s own gravity"

enjoyed your write.
