wake up,

confronted by the calm interested gaze of the full

moon

a big pale gold iris

of some deity

silently urging me.....

to do what?

I cannot look away

but sit trappped by soft lunar light

and shifting grey shadows of leaves

on my window screen

theres a hush

and I wait

for some sort of nocturnal magic

expectant as a werewolf and just as in love with the lunar light as one

My black cat comes to join me

his purring a mysterious healfelt petition

he seems to be looking at the moon too

and we regard each other

the moon and me and the cat

and my cigarette smoke swirls and rises

like incense to

a strange and gentle

nocturnal being....

I like it. But what happened next?
