o beloved,
come lie with me on soft cotton sheets
breathing into my neck.
let me feel you slide
against my thighs,
sweat salting my body.
stay...
hold me in the morning sun
under a lazy fan,
blades stirring air over our hips like soft tendrils of brown hair.

do you like soft fingers
to glide from your palm to your shoulder
and back again...
lips gently resting on your neck,
hot breath dusting your ear...

o sweet lover,
slide your hand behind my head…
through my hair…
hold my ear on your chest.
i close my eyes,
listening to the solid thump thump thump of your heartbeat.

my tears flow,
pooling in your navel.
salty trails leave a hot path
for my tongue to explore.
you whisper against my hair,
pulling me back to lie cheek to neck.

slide down and rest your head on my breast,
cradling my stomach in your big hands.
hold me and let us stay like this…
awash in sunlight of the early summer morn,
watching the day bloom upon the earth.

o beloved,
come lie with me on soft cotton sheets
breathing into my neck.
let me feel you slide
against my thighs,
sweat salting our bodies.
stay.
hold me in the morning sun
under a lazy fan,
pushing air across our hips like soft brown hair.

endure.
soft fingers glide from your palm to your shoulder.
your hands on my waist hold me hard against you.
lips gently rest on your neck as
hot breath dusts the cup of your ear.

o sweet lover,
slide your hand behind my skull,
through my hair.
hold my ear on your chest,
against the tripping beat.

i close my eyes.

my tears flow down to
pool in your navel, spilling
salty trails to leave a warm path
for my hot tongue to explore.
you whisper against my hair,
pulling me back to lie cheek to neck.

                  slip down
and rest your head on my breast,
cradling my stomach in your big hands.
hold me.
let us stay like this,
drenched in humid light of the summer sun,
as the day bloom upon the earth.
