This is where my soul
Goes in mourning
To
Watch the sunrise
In the morning

On this rock is
Where I sit and
Stare at nothing
I
Am holding your hand
But you don’t feel me

Just a ghostly presence
I
Am not there to you
Although I try to be
You look through me and my
Soul is in mourning

Time is running out
And swiftly
I am swept away by a passing
Air current
And it sighs, “never shall we know”
Never shall we know

Brush my hand
Ever so lightly
Over the warmth and
The lure
Of your body
My soul sighs and the
Sun comes up

I fade away
