A pair of sparkling eyes issuing an invitation
Two to join in revelry and joyous celebration
Enfolded in warmth and favorably entwined
Emblazoned in my minds' eye, immeasurably enshrined
Bathed in the light of the morning sun
Where all else fades away
Time slows down, nowhere to run
Twilight pacing out the day

A sigh escapes, disturbing the air
Filling the silence, emotions laid bare
Waves of heat from rosy skin
Mining veins for want of sin
Forward thrusts a serpents' tongue
Searching for its' mate
Two together, now as one
Temptations quest for fate

The mocking sun hangs on high
Azure dreams of nighttime nigh
Nakedness now robed in blue
With hidden cleft revealed anew
The longing glance and furtive touch
With promises of star-watched bliss
Desires unfulfilled as such
Revealed within a kiss
