when he’s deep in sleep
on the surface of dreams,
his brain letting go
of it’s chemical hold,
and his body wakes
in a physical shake
with a throb and a twitch
tenting the sheets,
my mind, body, and soul
warm from within all aglow...

so close to his active subconscious
while I’m awake and he unconscious...

how innocently it taunts us.
