Mosaic -The Poem

From the very moment I met you, I fell for you.
It was not a mere fleeting feeling.
It was and is real, even now and even today.
There is no way of expressing how I truly feel but on paper,
Mere words are a falacy if they cannot be recorded on paper.

The memories of our first meeting are still clearly etched in my mind,
From that first meeting we began a friendship,
Getting to know each other, slowly yet surely,
Our friendship evolved and grew closer.

In that time, you met and fell in love with another,
And I tried to salve my heart in relationships that ended poorly.
I didn't tell you until it was too late how I felt for you.
I have always been a friend and been there in good and bad times,
And I will always assure you I will be there for you.

The feelings of the heart should not be ignored,
Fore it is in reaching into our emotions,
That is what shows us our path.
If you love someone tell them, show them, reveal yourself.
Trust me it is better, better than living everyday without the lady you love.

Within my heart balancing on one side is Love
And like a razor on the other side is the Pain of Loneliness.
My heart is a seesaw, going from love to loneliness.
Do you realise how much your simple 'hello' makes me smile,
And my heart jumps for joy.
Do you realise how much it pains me,
To see you with your man, my heart plummets into an abyss.

Like a mosaic over my heart,
This poem is an ode for anyone who has loved someone unattainable,
This poem is for that special someone.
At least I have my dreams and my fantasies of you,
That cannot be taken away by anyone.
Like a mosaic over my heart.
