Mother
There was a time when
I did think myself apart
But now I know
There is nothing outside of you
As you guide me down
Onto the padded ground
And gently separate my legs

Your hands are so studied
Your attention so complete
As you rub the terry cotton
Over and into my secret skin
I watch you listlessly
Knowing my muscles hold nothing
Not anymore
Because they are yours
