irony as iron
bitter sweet bloody
after after taste
left to lull on tongue tip
inside our insides
if only to ask why
why again
go it goes
so she went
after all our efforts
made love like a familiar place
borrowed holes like rabbit warrens
almost like a homey home
on off target ranges
where dear and envelopes play
now our day after left overs
and ossified ruminants
poor and strange
are coral-laid
phantoms of fathoms
deep raptured ruptured promises
salty watery tears gulfed between
the u and the e and the i
mostly x
always y

in the end, the ends
are when we are at our best
so why not stop start again
every night a curtain
mourning after never coming
we wake a new beginnings
hello I love you who are you
like the wagging tail of a dog
love doled out in grateful handfulls
table scrapbooked fortunate moments
tied together for warmth
with pretty tissue
I wish to kiss yous
seeing as I miss yous
whatever it is between us
the soft sandy texture
of love never seems to change
so I find that my foolish heart
almost always feels the same
