Move or Be Still
Move or be still, how do you choose?
You can't win if you don't play, but you also can't lose.
Are you a Sluggard for sitting still by choice,
Or a wise man choosing when to use his voice?
Is Diligence the constant movement of man
Who never stops moving with is own plans?
Which is wiser, how will you know?
Is it better for the slow to move fast, or the fast to move slow?

Why do you sit still you sluggard, why are you still here?
Are you awaiting a move, or are you just scared?
A child can hide a dollar for a rainy day
But a wise man will go out and by an umbrella today.
It's the first step that commences a trip
But you can't step if you're still choosing to sit.

Slow down you fool, why do you haste?
Do you rush out of necessity, or just to win the race?
Is life only about reaching the end goal first?
Is gaining earthly goods all that you're worth?
Is it the trophy that you seek, or the gift of pride?
The true pride of humility when you put your fears aside.
Because only the truly humble can be proud of humility
And being fully aware of all of his capabilities
And not having the need of the applause of praise
Or cringing in cowardice when his weaknesses are raised.
So you see, haste will not make you better than the rest
If you didn't first learn how to pass the tests.

Move or be still, what should you do
When the storms of life force you to choose?
A man of wisdom walks with the wise
But he only looks in the mirror through God's eyes.
A lioness lies still, crouched low in the ready
But her eye stay focused, her claws stay steady.
And once her target is prime for attack
Stillness turns to movement, with no turning back.
And if she fails and her targets gets away,
She frets not, she simply sits still for other prey.
So before you move my son, be still and pray
Because tomorrows man is made from choices today.
