She was my best friend my mother
now she is gone I know
there will never be a another
that will ever take her place
as my best friend or my mother
she had a heart of gold
she left me many memories
I will always treasure and hold
she was there for me
Thur thick and thin
not just every now and then
I never got the chance to say good=bye
on the sixth of July
when god called her home
now she is an angel up above
she will be watching over me
but sending down her love
my best friend my mother
I will always love

dedicated to my mother Ida Gail Brown who passed away July 6th 2006 at age 55

Congratulations on a fine poem....

and my condolences on your loss.

Time will heal all kinds of wounds - but the heart takes a little longer.
